Comune di Sedilo
The inhabited centre of Sedilo is situated on the Abbasanta plateau which to the east joins with the “Media Valle” of the Tirso. It is made up of old houses, which all gravitate around the church of San Giovanni Battista.
Its name derives from the Latin adjective "sedulus", which means "hardworking". The territory has been inhabited since ancient times, as is demonstrated by the nuraghi, Nuraghic wells and “giants’ tombs” located in the archaeological park of "Iloi".
